Kathmandu : The street from Jawalakhel to Lagankhel will resound with varied music on April 26. With instrumental to mellow to metal, the concert is the main attraction of the Kumaripati Jawalakhel Mahotsav 2071 BS that began on April 25.
“We are expecting around 5 lakh people, and expect people of different ages. So we have put up different kinds of artistes whose music would suit diverse kinds of audience,” Pushpa Ratna Shakya, President of Kumaripati Jawalakhel Byapar Sangh, one of the organisers of the event shared.
The line-up for the concert include Sirsak, Anil Shahi, Ciney Gurung and Tattwa Band, Anuprastha, Kutumba, X-Mantra, Deepak Bajracharya and Rhythm. It will also feature several local bands to entertain the crowd.
Covering five kilometres, “it is the longest street festival” where one can shop, feast, witness cultural activities and let children enjoy themselves in the kids zone.
Bike stunts, B-Boying, face painting are some other events to be showcased in the fest.
Two hundred stalls will be put up at the festival. The festival begins 10:00 am, the concert from 1:00 pm.
