Laxmi Pratisthan is a memorial foundation founded by the family members and well-wishers in the memory of Late Kumar Gautam and Late Balram Gautam.
It is established under the name of Laxmi Gautam, the mother of the deceased, for her consolation, having herself as the Patron and the father Bishnu Gautam as a Chairman. Kumar Gautam passed away on 29th December, 2008 in a motorcycle accident and Balram Gautam left us shockingly on 3rd October, 2009 in Oklahoma, US, just nine months after the demise of his elder brother Kumar.
The reason behind the foundation of Laxmi Pratisthan is to divert minds of the family members from this very rare and shocking incident and to pay tribute to the departed souls by contributing to the society with positive approach. It will work for the humanity regardless of age, gender, color, caste, race and religion.
Thus, the foundation has aimed to work in the favour of socially backward and underprivileged communities particularly women and children in the remote areas of Nepal. The Foundation has conceived Vocational Training Oriented Basic Education Program for the women which will empower them by rendering self dependent with literacy. The helpless children and orphans will also be in priority for the education.
Health awareness programs will also be carried out for the awareness of the locals to reduce the number of infant mortality and pregnancy related mortality rate. The Traffic Awareness Programs will also be in priority having co-ordination with schools, colleges and traffic police in an effort to reduce the increasing road accident particularly among the youths. lAXMI PRATISTHAN
